Haunted Castle's also a dogshit game designed to steal your money so I don't count that one either.Dracula’s Bloodline represents the authors’ attempt to accurately narrate centuries of a unique family history in one, single book. Having pits that you fall into is fangame tier trash, so I don't consider efforts like this to even be sincere games, let alone balanced and reasonable fights with Dracula.
Because Dracula is a recurring boss with an established moveset consistent between games, one can look at how that formula is used to determine if it's balanced. Now fights like in Dracula X are pretty bad, but I'd call them cheap so I don't count them. You'd only lose in other phases if they were your first time seeing them. Some versions try to address the phase three issue because his attacks originally don't even go to the corners of the screen, but it's not enough to pivot from the fact that so long as you got to the room, the only obstacle is the start of the fight. Dracula's Curse's final fight, which has more phases than the games I mentioned for example, can actually be cheesed in phase two and three by staying in the corner and using a Cross. It becomes more of knowing where "if he's at A, attack and be at B" kind of phases, and it's only one phase so it's a fight that doesn't require you to be in the long haul. Wily in that he spawns on the screen in a random place, and has a projectile that can only be dodged by being at a specific place in kind to where he is. Belmont's Revenge is very similar in that he is more like Dr. It's one of the few fights that also mandates the destruction of his Hellfire fireballs, otherwise being hit is almost promised because they are released at different rates and angles which only increase the more Dracula is harmed. Chronicles is the hardest game in the series that isn't designed to be cheap to you too, so he's just something that "fits" the teeth kicking experience the whole game gets into. Between his depictions there, they both are fights you cannot really find a space to cheese and are entirely about knowing patterns correctly. The Dracula from Akumajo Dracula X86000/Chronicles or in Belmont's Revenge are the hardest in what I would call a "balanced" way.
